It’s been a busy few weeks for the Social Ape Marketing team! We capped off the month of February by getting in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit a bit early. We worked with Rich & Bennett, one of our longest-standing clients, to plan their first-ever influencer event ahead of this year’s 20th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl.

Rich & Bennett’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl takes place each year in Uptown Charlotte and has grown to become the largest pub crawl in the world. Crawlers can expect drink specials from 35+ bars, live music, a collaboration brew with Wicked Weed Brewing and more! This year’s crawl will flood the streets of Uptown with a sea of green on Saturday, March 14.

To celebrate this year’s big milestone, Rich & Bennett wanted to throw an exclusive event for influencers. We set out to create the ultimate mini crawl for foodies, lifestyle bloggers, travel experts and more.

We created a guest list, designed and distributed invitations, communicated logistics (where to park, when to arrive, what to expect) with influencers, prepared a timeline and run of show for the event, assembled swag bags and developed talking points to keep Rich & Bennett engaged with guests at each location. In total, we had over 35 VIP crawlers set to experience Rich & Bennett’s Mini Pub Crawl on February 26.

The night began at Dandelion Market. Guests checked in, mingled and chowed down on an incredible spread! We welcomed guests and introduced Rich & Bennett to the group. The dynamic duo shared more about their backgrounds and how the crawl was started.

Next, we crawled along to Rí Rá Irish Pub’s Whiskey Room where guests were invited to enjoy a complimentary beverage and appetizers. Rich & Bennett introduced the manager of Rí Rá, who thanked everyone and shared the story of their partnership. During this time, Rich & Bennett also highlighted their relationships with local businesses and the nonprofits they give back to following the crawl.

To end the evening, we crawled over to Connolly’s on Fifth for swag bags and a final drink with Rich & Bennett. Following a toast from Connolly’s owner and a few laughter-inducing tales, everyone shared a Pickle Back Shot on the house!

We were thrilled to see so many guests make new friends, learn about the history of the crawl and enjoy the evening with Rich & Bennett! Our team is eager for the big day to arrive and know we’ll have plenty of new crawlers celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with us in style.
