Hey there! My name is Taylor Riley and I am a Junior at The University of South Carolina majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Fashion Merchandising. I was born & raised in Charlotte and attended Charlotte Country Day School growing up.
What do you do at Social Ape Marketing?
I create the weekly newsletter and blog post. I also create and schedule content calendars for Social Ape and some of our clients.
Why are you passionate about marketing?
Over quarantine, I learned how important it is to help local businesses succeed, and in today’s world, social media marketing plays a huge role into that. Some businesses don’t have the time or resources to successfully utilize these platforms on their own. Therefore, I am very passionate about marketing and the creativity that comes with it in order to help clients achieve their goals.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I love going out and trying new restaurants with family and friends. I also love to cook and enjoy spending the night in cooking a new recipe with my mom. I have a food account, @taylorstaste, with all my recipes and my favorite CLT eats. I enjoy going to the beach and spending time outside tanning, fishing, or just hanging with my adorable dog, Kuechly. I love traveling and am extremely excited to study abroad next spring in Italy!

What do you love about Charlotte?
It’s so crazy growing up here and seeing how much Charlotte has changed. When I was little I always said, “I will never raise my kids in Charlotte, I am moving far away.” Flash forward 10 years… I can’t stay away. I love how fast the city is growing and all the new food and activities, yet, it still feels like home.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I am planning on spending a few years in a different city following college before moving back to Charlotte. In 5 years, I may be in Austin, Chicago, Florida? Who knows! But I will hopefully be working for a PR or Marketing firm that works with local businesses.
What is one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I have been an aunt since 2nd grade! I have 3 nephews and 1 niece. I also have a phobia and hatred towards ketchup… EW!
