After creating content calendar after content calendar for your marketing business, sometimes it’s hard to keep up the creativity of your Instagram captions. Instagram marketing is primarily about the visuals and the quality of the photos you post, but the differentiating factor for gaining followers is the quality of your captions. Follow along to learn six tips for creating the perfect Instagram caption.

Take Your Time

A good Instagram captions explains what the photo is about, includes a call to action, or makes a joke. It’s important to perfect your caption prior to posting to avoid coming up with a brilliant caption after the post is already published. Therefore, it’s important to not rush the creative process. Instagram algorithms are no longer in chronological order, therefore, its important for marketers to perfect captions rather than just getting post on your feed. The visibility of your post on your followers feed ultimately depends on the number of likes, comments, and saves.

Include a Call To Action

To increase your visibility and share potential on your Instagram post, it’s important to engage your followers by adding a call-to-action in your captions. Call-to-actions can include terms such as “click the link in our bio to learn more,” “double tap if you love…,” or ask a question to your followers.

Limit Hashtags

Hashtags are used to tie different post from different users all to one stream. Hashtags are a great way to show up on potential followers feed and add a bit of humor to captions. It’s important to use hashtags to gain, but not to overuse them. If you use a ton of hashtags, your posts can begin to look like spam to the followers you already have. Unless the hashtag fits naturally into your sentences, place your hashtags at the end of your caption. You can also add your hashtags to the first comment on the post to avoid adding it to the caption all together.

Use Emojis

No matter what business you are in, there is always room for Emojis. Even if you are a serious brand, Emojis can add personality to your Instagram Captions. You can use emojis to catch people’s eye or replace words.

When in Doubt, Keep it Brief

Depending on your business, your Instagram captions may be longer, but if you’re unsure of your brand’s voice, always keep it brief. Some of the best captions are short punchlines or getting to the point quickly, while letting the photo do most of the talking.
