Social Ape is excited to introduce another one of our clients, Unity Classical Charter School. Unity Classical Charter School is a publicly funded school that opened in August 2017. Unity currently serves students in grades K–5 and will continue to add one grade level per year. Unity focuses on classical education rigor, and strives to develop intellectually, morally, and physically excellent citizens who embrace learning and the desire to serve. Follow along to learn more about Unity Classical Charter School.

Why did you start your business?

Unity Classical Charter School was founded in 2017 as a K-2 tuition-free, non-profit public charter school. We have continued to grow by adding a grade level a year. Our board came together to bring a school to Charlotte because they believed that every child deserves a good education. The best educational results have come from Classical Education. Teaching a classical education model, we foster a rigorous learning environment that fosters each child in developing their own thoughts.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your business?

We seem to be the best kept secret in Charlotte. Since we started in 2017 and have been renting from Steele Creek Church of Charlotte. Without a building or proper signage, it’s hard to even find us. We are so excited to finally be building our permanent home that will open in the fall of 2021 serving grades K-6.

What’s something people would be surprised to learn about you?

We are a public school and we are tuition free!
