Snapchat launched a feature called Discover as a fun way to see the perspective of different editorials such as Food Network, Mashable, Cosmopolitan, Comedy Central, CNN, and more. It usually has about 11 different stories to watch along with the official Snapchat story. As well as it being super easy to access on your Snapchat app, it’s full of awesome content and is very addicting!
There are two different ways to access the Discover page on Snapchat. You can either press the circle at the top right of your Stories screen or you can also swipe to the right with your finger.
Once you get to the Discover page, it will look like the image below. You can scroll through the different stories. Once you choose one you want to watch, just click on it!
If you find a story you want to get more details on and it has “Swipe Up” on the bottom of the screen, then swipe up for more visuals about that specific snap.
You can then pause, rewind, fast forward, and start the video as much as you like in the top bar of the screen!
We were really interested in how Chico’s Tacos made their Taquitos so we swiped up on that snap from the Food Network Snap Story. After we swiped up, we got to hear Aarón Sánchez narrate the process.
If there is a snap you love so much that you have to spread the word, you can share with your friends by holding your finger on the screen and it will show the video in snap form. All you have to do is add your own commentary then choose the friend you want to share with!
